Mollie Pressler

has been collecting information on the camp’s fascinating history since 1976, when working on a master’s degree at Western New Mexico University. She has interviewed townspeople, military and civilian personnel, a former prisoner, families of former internees, researched files from The Lordsburg Liberal between 1941 to 1948, National Archives records, and various other sources. She has written several papers and articles on the topic and has been a presenter for the New Mexico Historical Society, the University of Washington, and the University of Montana. She taught in the Lordsburg school system for 27 years and continued teaching as an adjunct professor for Western New Mexico University. She lives in Lordsburg with her husband, Phil, a lifelong music educator. The have a dog, Pendleton.
