An intimate talk about the POW camp and the history of internment in the Southwest. Event begins at 10 a.m.
Signing
A book release party at the Lordsburg-Hidalgo County Museum will take place on June 1, 2022, at 6 p.m. (or unless otherwise announced). Mollie Pressler will be in attendance to read from her book “Camp Lordsburg” and sign copies. Books will be available for sale at the event. The event is free to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
Book-signing
Mollie Pressler hosts her first official book-signing at the Lordsburg-Hidalgo County Library at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15. Copies of the book will be available for sale. She will also read a short passage from the book and answer questions about the camp. Supplies will be limited, so to ensure you get a copy, order in advance online.

Mollie will be presenting a talk on the camp at Western New Mexico University on April 19, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. in Silver City, New Mexico.
High School Lecture
Mollie Pressler will address students at Animas High School and Animas Middle School in March, starting Wednesday, March 30. She will speak about the internment and POW camp and the history of World War II, highlighting the 80th anniversary of the camp’s construction with a multi-media show. Event is not open to the public.
